Brighton Rock to play FireFest 2012

September 22nd, 2011

Some Huge BR news coming soon.......

August 30th, 2011

FRAZE GANG RECORDING ALBUM NUMBER 2:
Fraze Gang have been holed up in the studio in the last few months writing songs for the upcoming new CD entitled Fraze Gang 2 . The band had 29 songs to choose from & have narrowed it down to the final 10 of which will appear on the upcoming CD. Included on the CD will be the 4 singles Fraze Gang recently released and 6 brand new songs of which 4 have already been recorded. The band is hoping for a early 2012 release with a new video. The CD is being mixed by the legendary Beau Hill (Alice Cooper, Ratt, Warrant…)
Fraze Gang are also pleased to announce the addition of a new full time member to the group, guitarist Derek McGowan . Derek has been playing live shows with the guys helping fill out the sound & the band are so impressed with his dedication, passion & sheer mind blowing talent that the band offered the gig to Derek of which he gratefully accepted. You will be able to hear Derek tear it up on the upcoming new CD. Fraze Gang frontman Greg Fraser was recently quoted on the addition of Derek: “Derek is the real deal as far as up & coming guitar hero's go, he can shred with the best of them and is a welcome addition the group.”
When asked about joining Fraze Gang, Derek had this to say: "I am a huge fan of Brighton Rock! I have been since I was 8 years old. 'Take a Deep Breath' is still one of my favorite albums of all time. In fact, the first riff I asked my guitar teacher to show me when I was 11 was 'Power Overload!' Their music is very much a part of my childhood and teen years. In 2002 Brighton Rock was asked to reunite for the ZRock Festival in Manchester, England. Guitarist Greg Fraser was unable to attend. Instead of declining the gig, BR drummer Mark Cavarzan asked me to fill in for Greg and I literally went nuts! By bringing me into the fold, it brought me the opportunity to play with Fraze Gang years later. It was a dream come true. BR treated me so great and the fans were unbelievable! I am very lucky to have had that opportunity to play with them. I spent a month of rehearsals with BR at Stevie's house and I kept pinching myself! The sessions for the new Fraze Gang album have been awesome! Playing guitar alongside Greg has been not only exciting but a great learning experience! The songs Rock! I can't wait for the new release! Greg wrote riffs that are permanently imbedded in my mind, music that spoke to me as a kid growing up. It is an honor to play on his new music and write ideas together! I'm a lucky guy!!"

FRAZE GANG CD CAPTURES OLD SCHOOL SOUND:
In the late Eighties, Big Hair combined with heavy guitars produced a Big Rock sound. While groups like Van Halen, Motley Crue and Bon Jovi were ripping up the charts in the U.S., Greg Fraser and Stevie Skreebs were unleashing their own vibrations in Canada with their legendary group Brighton Rock . Before long, the band was touring throughout the world entertaining sold out concerts, and carving their niche in Rock history. But when the big guitar sounds of the 80's were replaced by Seattle's grunge movement, Brighton Rock founders Fraser and Skreebs decided to take a break from the limelight and took that opportunity to recharge their batteries and change up their game plan. Like any good vacation, the break has resulted in a fresh new sound, a rocking charge of music quite unlike anything else they've done before. The rebirth takes shape in a brand new explosive band... Fraze Gang .
Fronted by BR lead guitarist & vocalist Greg Fraser with help from his partner in crime BR bassist Stevie Skreebs and rounded out by powerhouse drummer Phil Epp. Fraze Gang have just released their self titled debut CD consisting of 12 arena rock anthems that are sure to bring back the party-hearty feel of the 80's with the kick ass attitude of 2006. Fraze Gang are here to keep the dream alive!
